Custom Inground Pool Construction in Morris County, NJ

The Art of Complete Pool Construction

Building a pool is one of the best investments you can make in your home and your family’s quality of life. It’s also a big decision — and one that deserves a builder with real experience, honest communication, and a track record you can verify.

At Henry Bona Pools & Spas, we’ve been building custom inground pools in Morris County since 1960. More than 60 years of pools built, families served, and work we’re proud to stand behind.

Two Types of Inground Pools. One Team.

We build two types of inground pools: vinyl liner and gunite. Both are built to last. Both are fully custom. And both are backed by a team that’s been doing this for over six decades.

The right choice depends on your priorities — your budget, your design vision, your yard, and what you want from your pool long-term. We’ll walk you through both options honestly and help you land on the one that makes the most sense for you.

Our Process

We start with a conversation. Tell us what you’re thinking, show us your yard, and share what matters most to you. We’ll ask the right questions, design something that fits your space and your budget, and give you a clear, realistic plan before any work begins.

From there, we build. On time, on budget, and the way we said we would. You’ll always know where things stand — we believe in simple, direct communication from start to finish.

Vinyl Liner Pools

Vinyl pools are built with a steel, polymer, or composite frame and a smooth, fitted liner inside. They’re one of the most popular inground pool choices in New Jersey — versatile, comfortable, and available in a wide range of shapes and sizes. They’re also typically faster to build and a more affordable starting point than gunite.

When the liner reaches the end of its life, it can be replaced — same solid structure, fresh new look. We handle liner replacements too, so Bona Pools is your partner for the long run.

Gunite Pools

Gunite pools are built from a reinforced concrete shell sprayed directly onto a steel framework. They’re the most durable and most design-flexible type of pool you can build. Any shape. Any depth. Any features. Gunite pools are designed to last for generations.

If you have a specific vision in mind — or if you want a truly one-of-a-kind pool — gunite is almost always the right answer.
